Dantonio and Spartans Still Thinking BCS
Comments 0 | Recommend 0EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) _ Rose Bowl bids and Big Ten titles are
usually not an option for Michigan State this late in the season.
The Spartans last earned a share of the league title in 1990 and
their last Rose Bowl appearance was 1988.
Both of those goals are still attainable for No. 17 Michigan
State as it prepares for a trip to No. 7 Penn State on Saturday.
Michigan State and Penn State are in a three-way tie for first
in the Big Ten with Ohio State entering the last weekend of the
regular season.
A win guarantees the Spartans a share of the title. If Michigan
State wins and Michigan upsets Ohio State, the Spartans would be
headed to the Rose Bowl.
