Michigan football starting lineup not yet settled
Comments 0 | Recommend 0ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez is six
days away from his game debut, but his depth chart remains murky.
Seven positions on the depth chart did not have starters listed
Monday, including quarterback and tailback.
Rodriguez says he has a ``gut feeling'' about whether Nick
Sheridan or Steven Threet will take the first snap when the
Wolverines welcome Utah on Saturday. Sheridan played briefly in two
games last season, and Threet, a transfer from Georgia Tech, has
yet to throw a collegiate pass.
In the offensive backfield, freshman running backs Sam McGuffie
and Michael Shaw are listed alongside veterans Brandon Minor and
Carlos Brown.
