More Problems for Lansing Eastern Quaker Football
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Lansing Eastern Quaker football team won it's first football game since 2006 against Detroit Jesuit. Tonight they lost it, by
forfeit.
The Eastern football programs has struggled for a few years and had seemed to get on the right track with the hiring of a former
Quaker and NFL player Tommie Boyd. Tonight Boyd is suspended and athletic director Mario Villarreal is, "On leave," according to
a source within the district.
Calls to Boyd and Villarreal have not been returned as well as an email to Villarreal.
The issue is that allegedly as many as five players were used in the game that were academically ineligible.
ABC 3 Sports is on the story and will have more right here on WLAJ.com
