WLAJ Summer Fun Family Giveaway Official Rules

HOW TO ENTER:

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. Starting Thursday, July 3, 2008 through Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Monday through Friday, watch WLAJ's Oprah and WLAJ News at 6pm (5:00pm to 6:30pm). During Oprah a billboard will run with a secret word of the day. During WLAJ News at 6pm a billboard will run asking viewers to call in with the secret word. No walk-ins, fax-ins or emails will be accepted.

PRIZE SELECTION:

Winners will be notified by telephone and/or mail and/or email. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the results of the contest, which will be final and binding in all respects.

Starting Thursday, July 3, 2008 through Wednesday, July 30, 2008 every weekday during WLAJ News at 6, a billboard will pop up. Once the billboard pops up, the viewers will call the WLAJ contest line at 877-379-0231. The 9th caller with the correct secret word will win.

Limit one prize per person and/or household. No one is eligible to win any FBMI contest until six (6) months has past since last time of winning any FBMI contest where the prize had a value of $50 or more. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received during the call-in qualifying time. Each qualified entry will have an equal chance of winning.

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES:

No substitution or transfer of prize by winner permitted. Each weekday, starting Thursday, July 3, 2008 through Wednesday, July 30, 2008, winner will receive four (4) tickets to Cedar Point and four (4) tickets to Michigan Adventure. Total individual prize is worth $300. Total contest is worth $6,000

All prizes must be claimed within two (2) week of the date of the notification or the winner will be disqualified and the prize will revert back to WLAJ

GENERAL RULES AND ELIGIBILITY:

Contest open to legal residents of Michigan 18 years of age or older as of July 3, 2008.

Employees of FBMI, any and all sponsors, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, advertising and promotion agencies and each employee's immediate family member (mother, father, sister, brother, any child, husband, wife) and those living in their same households are not eligible to participate or win a prize.

All winners will be required to supply personal information up to but not limited to their social security number. Liability for any applicable federal, state, or other taxes will be the sole responsibility of the winner and no prize will be awarded without receipt of the proper, fully completed legal paperwork, including but not limited to a W-9 (may be a substitute form) as determined by Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc. and its sponsors.

FBMI or any and all sponsors are not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected entries, entries not received in time for the selection of the winners, or for technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections.

PARTICIPATING MERCHANTS/SPONSORS:

MISCELLANEOUS:

No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prizes (or portion thereof) except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability and then for a prize (or applicable portion thereof) of equal or greater value. Grand Prize winner will be required to execute and return a W-9 within 10 days of issuance of notification. Noncompliance with the foregoing or return of prize notification as non-deliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Entrants agree, by entering, that 1.) Freedom Broadcasting of Michigan, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, suppliers, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies may use (unless prohibited by law), if entrant is a winner, entrant's name, city and state of residence, photograph and/or likeness for advertising trade and/or any other purposes in any media now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission or notification, and 2.) The aforementioned parties and all of their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives and agents shall have no liability and will be held harmless by entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage to entrant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any other person or damage to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize and any travel or travel-related activity thereto or participation in this promotion.

Winner's consent to use their name in connection with the contest and all images are the exclusive property of FBMI.

FBMI reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to modify, suspend, and/or terminate this Contest should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of FBMI corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest. In case of such suspension or termination, a notice will be posted, and at FBMI's discretion, winners will be selected from eligible non-suspect entries received prior to event requiring such termination or suspension. FBMI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant if his or her fraud or misconduct affects the integrity of the contest.

Correspondence relating to entry in the sweepstakes will not be answered or acknowledged.

FBMI maintains the right to change or modify these rules at any time, without notice. FBMI and any and all sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of any and all prizes.
