Michigan Awarded Retraining Grant
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Governor Granholm says the U.S. Department of Labor has awarded our state $2,000,000 to train 400 dislocated workers for jobs as nurses and other health care providers.
The Governor said the grant fills the need for well paid health care workers and employment for those who have lost their jobs. Michigan's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate stood at 8.5% in May, up more than 2% from the previous month.
